The Peplink B One 5G is a desktop branch router that combines an embedded 5G modem with two Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports, four Gigabit LAN ports, and dual-band Wi-Fi 6. It is built for branch offices, stores, restaurants, and small businesses of up to 150 users. It handles two jobs: automatic 5G failover for the cable or fiber line already on site, or a standalone primary 5G fixed-wireless connection. Peplink rates its Qualcomm X62-based modem at a theoretical 3.4 Gbps on Sub-6 5G with LTE Cat 19 fallback, and Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile have all certified the router. With an ISPTek cellular SIM card data plan in either Nano-SIM slot, its 5G WAN is ready the moment the wired line fails.

What It Does & Key Features:

  • Cable & Fiber Lines with Automatic 5G Failover: Put cable or fiber on WAN 1 and set 5G to Backup priority. If the wired line drops, traffic shifts to 5G and returns when the circuit recovers. At fixed-wireless sites, reverse the roles: 5G carries the load while a wired line or Starlink waits as backup.
  • Dual Gigabit WAN Ports Plus Built-In 5G: Two Ethernet WAN ports take two wired services, such as fiber and cable, or a wired line plus Starlink via its Ethernet adapter. The USB-C port adds a WAN for a USB cellular modem, Peplink MAX Adapter, or USB-to-Ethernet adapter and can power it at 5V/2A.
  • Sub-6 5G with 4×4 Cellular MIMO: The embedded modem covers 28 Sub-6 5G NR bands with SA and NSA support and a Peplink-rated theoretical peak of 3.4 Gbps down, while LTE Cat 19 fallback peaks at a theoretical 1.6 Gbps / 200 Mbps. Four SMA ports and four bundled antennas enable 4×4 downlink MIMO.
  • Two Nano-SIM Slots with SIM A/B Priority: The Peplink B One 5G takes 4FF Nano-SIM cards in two slots, marked A and B, that share the single modem, so only one SIM runs at a time. Set a preferred SIM, and the router can move to the other one after the cellular WAN’s fallback timeout.
  • Load Balancing & SpeedFusion Bonding: Choose from eight outbound policies, including Weighted Balance, Overflow, and Lowest Latency, to decide which traffic rides fiber, cable, or 5G. With PrimeCare (first year included), SpeedFusion tunnels to a peer Peplink device add Hot Failover, Smoothing, and Bandwidth Bonding across 5G and wired, Starlink, or USB links, at up to 400 Mbps unencrypted or 200 Mbps with AES-256.
  • Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 with 16 SSIDs: The 2×2 MIMO radio covers 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with up to 16 SSIDs for staff, guest, and device networks, and the built-in AP controller manages up to 30 Pepwave access points.
  • Branch Security, VLANs & Routing: Stateful firewalling, DoS prevention, web blocking, and VLANs that isolate IoT devices from work PCs protect each site, with SIP, HTTPS, and VPN QoS, IPsec site-to-site VPN, L2TP/OpenVPN remote access, BGP, OSPFv2, VRRP high availability, and 1 Gbps router throughput.
  • Desktop Hardware & InControl 2 Management: The 10.31 x 6.33 x 1.31 in indoor chassis runs from -40°F to 113°F (-40°C to 45°C) on the included 12V supply or 10–30V DC and is managed by web UI, CLI, app, or InControl 2 (included with PrimeCare). The B-ONE-5GN-T-PRM-3Y SKU is the same hardware with three years of PrimeCare+, adding advanced replacement RMA and 24×7 ticket support.

Certified on Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile & All Major U.S. Carrier Networks:

All three major U.S. carriers have certified the B One 5G (B-ONE-5GN-T-PRM), so each branch can run its ISPTek cellular SIM card data plan on whichever network covers that address best.

  • Verizon Certified: Verizon’s Open Development program certified it with C-Band support; on Verizon, 5G runs in non-standalone (NSA) mode on n77, n2, n5, and n66, plus LTE on B13, B66, B2, B4, and B5.
  • AT&T Certified: Peplink’s carrier certification matrix lists it as AT&T certified, and it covers 5G on n77 and n5 850 MHz plus LTE low-band Bands 12, 14, 17, and 29 and mid-band Bands 2, 30, and 66.
  • T-Mobile Certified: T-Mobile’s IoT certification rates it 3 out of 3, with SA and NSA 5G on n2, n25, n41, n48, n66, n71, and n77, pairing n71 600 MHz reach with n41 2.5 GHz capacity.
  • LTE Cat 19 Fallback Across 31 Bands: Where 5G hasn’t reached, LTE on B2, B4, B12, B13, B14, B30, B66, B71, and more keeps branches in 4G-only areas online at up to 1.6 Gbps theoretical.

Enhanced with ISPTek’s Cellular SIM Card Data Plans:

  • Public Static IP Addresses: Assign the B One 5G’s cellular WAN a public static IP so headquarters VPN gateways, remote admins, and off-site camera viewers reach the site at one known address, even while it runs on 5G.
  • Data Pooling Across Devices: Behind one or two wired WANs, a Peplink B One 5G’s SIM can sit nearly idle for weeks. Branch SIMs pooled within one ISPTek plan category share a single allowance, so the site whose wired service fails draws on the whole group’s data.
  • Over 12 Custom Plans: Choose an economical standby plan where 5G backs up fiber or cable, or a higher-capacity or unlimited plan where 5G is the site’s primary fixed-wireless link.
  • No Activation or Cancellation Fees: Bring SIMs online as branches open and drop them when a location closes or a pop-up wraps, on month-to-month terms without setup or termination charges.
  • Zero Touch Advanced Security: Every SIM gets ISPTek’s network-level protection on activation, complementing the B One 5G’s stateful firewall, web blocking, and VLAN isolation while branch traffic runs over 5G.

Who Benefits?

  • Branch Offices & Distributed Teams: Each office gets three WAN paths (two Ethernet plus 5G), SpeedFusion VPN to a Peplink router at headquarters at up to 200 Mbps encrypted, and one InControl 2 console (via PrimeCare) for every location.
  • Restaurant Chains & Multi-Location Retail: Peplink pitches the B One 5G at restaurant chains: card readers, kitchen displays, and order tablets sit on a VLAN apart from guest Wi-Fi and stay online over 5G when a store’s ISP fails.
  • MSPs Supporting Small-Business Clients: One router handles multi-WAN, Wi-Fi 6, firewall, and 5G backup at each client site with lifetime firmware updates, while ISPTek bills every client SIM on one account.
  • Financial Services & Healthcare Offices: Bank branches, credit unions, and medical practices move their encrypted SpeedFusion or IPsec tunnel to headquarters onto 5G when the ISP fails, and VRRP lets a standby unit take over if a router fails.
  • Professional Offices & Real Estate Brokerages: Law firms, accountants, and brokerages running cloud CRM, MLS, and VoIP get QoS that puts SIP first, so calls keep priority on 5G.
  • Rural & Fixed-Wireless Sites: Where cable and fiber are limited, run 5G as the primary link with Starlink or DSL on a WAN port as automatic backup, while n71 600 MHz low-band 5G extends rural reach.
  • New Locations & Pop-Up Sites: Open a branch, pop-up shop, or job-site office on 5G from day one, then plug in the wired circuit once it’s installed and keep 5G as standby failover.

The Peplink B One 5G puts routing, Wi-Fi 6, two Gigabit Ethernet WANs, and a carrier-certified 5G WAN in one desktop box. Run it as automatic failover behind cable or fiber, or let 5G carry the branch as its standalone primary connection with a wired circuit on standby. Its LTE sibling, the B One Plus, keeps the same ports with a Cat 4 modem. Size each branch’s ISPTek cellular SIM card data plan to the role its 5G link plays, from low-use standby to full-time primary service.
